Hey community! I am posting the logs of Ubuntu Open Week for the Jaunty Jackalope release. Go there now and catch up on what you may have missed. I will be posting logs each day starting about 2 pm EDT this week and not stop till logs are complete.
In other things, I have begun writing up a Spec for Personal Package Cache. I got the idea when I started playing with caching packages on my lan for use by my many computers. I strongly feel this would be attainable for Karmic Koala as we already have two strong contenders for the cache service--approx and apt-cacher-ng.
Which ever is chosen, it should just need a few wrapper scripts and a pretty interface to minimize direct editing of configuration files. I welcome any help, review, and/or advice on how to make this a reality this release cycle. I hope to start some abstraction work in Python as soon as I can fully understand how I need to implement the wrappers for the cache.
