Creating Personal Package Cache and a Finger Lakes LUG, Oh My!

I am working with Scotty, a person I met at our Jaunty Event, to create a LUG for my area between Ithaca, Rochester, and Syracuse. I am hoping to coax the Linux geeks from the various small towns, colleges and farms that dot Cayuga, Ontario, Wayne, and Senca Counties. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, May 19th at Friendlys Resturant in Geneva at 7pm. I would love for everyone in the area to show or at least drop me an email showing your support.

I am also working on modifications to apt-zero-conf to help fulfill the Personal Package Cache. spec. I have added directory redirects and code comments. I also worked to improve the pages the proxy creates. I have two further items I would like to see: automagical cache management with updates and removal and. a tool to switch package locations to directory redirects and back. If you would like to give me a hand with either design decisions or coding, drop an email.
