The Koala is about to arrive...

The Koala as in Karmic Koala--Ubuntu 9.10--is due out soon. I have been using it since it went RC. Overall it is quite nice, though I have some issues that have gotten worse and a few W.T.F.s that have apparently slipped quality control.

The New York State Ubuntu Community is holding their 2nd bi-annual release event at the Waterloo Holiday Inn next weekend on November 8th from 1-3pm with a party to follow. Everyone in the Finger Lakes Region is invited--its only about an hour from Ithaca to Rochester to Syracuse. I am looking forward to meeting users and sharing FOSS and Ubuntu with the other hotel event's patrons.

I am also inviting members and especially our leaders to spend an evening with our guest from Pennsylvania on the 7th. Contact me if you are interested.
