FDV is a simple viewer / writer that binds meta-details to the images in the current directory. It uses a yaml-based file to store the details. Details can be bound to multiple images and each image can have different group details bound.

fdvmake
The writer generates a template for the current directory's images. This template file can then be edited with your favorite text editor. A console-based entry mode is also available, though it may not work well for all cases. A graphical-based entry mode is under consideration.
fdvoracle
The divination viewer built on top of FDV offers view of randomly selected images listed in the details file. There are several different style spreads available for you to chose from. Based on the meta-details and images selected, a divination of your concern can be expressed.
fdvshow
The viewer has two modes, console and window. The console mode gives access to the text details of each item or group alias stored in the current folder's details file. The window mode allows for a thumbnail index view and a item details view.
Nautilus Action Scripts
Those who use the Natilus file manager can use the files from Nautilus Scripts. Once placed in the Nautilus scripts directory, you get right click access to the most used features of FDV: fdvshow with index and details views of images listed in the details file.
